Insomnia
This is the inability to sleep satisfactorily or to have any sleep at all. It is one of the most
common sleep disorders, and is characterized by restlessness, sleep interruptions, decreased
sleeping time, or sometimes complete wakefulness.

2. Substance Abuse
Too much coffee, colas or other "energy or caffeine packed drinks" intake is known to cause
insomnia. Chain smokers can also become easy victims of insomnia because of the nicotine
contained in cigarettes. Herbal remedies, alcohol and some other medications are also not
left out. Some people feel that alcohol makes them drowsy and sleepy however, when the
alcohol gets metabolized, sudden wakefulness follows.
3. Biological Clock Disturbance
One's body clock, when altered, can disrupt the amount of sleep one can peacefully enjoy.
This disruption can be caused by irregular slumber schedule because of too much siesta or
