DIEZANIGATE: OKONKWO SACKED, BALARABE APPOINTED

Fidelity Bank Plc, which came under scrutiny due to the arrest and subsequent detention of its CEO, Nnamdi Okonkwo, by the EFCC, has sacked the embattled CEO and appointed Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Balarabe, former Executive Director North, of Fidelity Bank, as the Acting MD, pending regulatory approval.

Nnamdi Okonkwo was sacked for having received over $115 million allegedly, from former Petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke and three others but failed to report it to the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit.
